Well, Swish 2 used to be very popular back in 2002, it became so popular quickly because of its wonderful text effects and the ease of use. Secondly the Flash used to be on its peak, the web trend was going through Flashy websites, everyone was loving those flash effects and people were more interested in Flasg websites, like today people love web 2.0 look.
