WORK EXPERIENCE

I have been working with different programming languages since 1994. I started my career as freelance Web Developer in 2002 with technologies such as PHP, MySQL, JSP, HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Swish 2 (currently Swishmax) and many other web design related tools.

I am currently working as Senior Web Developer at Flaxweb (www.flaxweb.com). My major job responsibilities include:

• Development of new products i.e. web templates, logos, web elements, plugins for Swishmax, PHP and MySQL based products i.e. Content Management Systems, Shopping carts, Custom Scripts (third party credit card processor gateways for 2checkout, Paypal) etc and provide support to existing customers.
  
• Marketing Flaxweb products through different advertising channels i.e. Google Adwords, Yahoo Marketing, Overture, Msn etc and keeping track of generated leads and conversions.
  
• Generating traffic through effective link building (including article and directory submission, traffic through online communities, forums and blogs, traffic from press release, social networking and social bookmarking websites i.e. PRWeb, Digg, MySpace, Delicious etc), search engine optimization (meta, keyword density, popularity, the right anchors etc) and submission.
  
• Designing newsletter templates, sending newsletters to Flaxweb forum subscribers (65,000) and monitoring traffic (time, location, conversion) through different scripts and websites such as Alexa.
  
• Implement unique strategies to improve revenues through different sources such as Google Adsense, Commissions Junction, Chitika etc.
  
• Management of customers, sales and products
  
• Work online with international clients/companies mostly based in USA and UK.
  
• Regular updates of Flaxweb Network websites (25) and ensuring the security measures. Optimization of scripts to keep CPU usage low to avoid extra charges for web hosting.

Flax Products, Sales and Customer Manager

This product was designed to meet company’s requirements for managing its non-tangible products, sale records and customers. This product includes shopping cart, a gateway API to third party credit card processor company 2checkout.com, news module, link directory module, management of orders (pending, approved, refunded, cancelled), products (templates, logos, or custom software), customer management area, customer download area (automatic generation of customer login IDs upon successful payment through credit card). DawnBoard – Messageboard / Forum Software

Dawnboard is a message board (forum) software for building online communities similar to other forum softwares such as Invision, vBulletin and phpBB. The concept is based on Flaxweb product LiteBoards that does not require any database but works with binary file system. Dawnboard is improved and also supports MySQL database as well. Flax Image Manager

An advance PHP and MySQL based script for Free image hosting, that utilizes GD functions to stretch, crop, watermark and resize images. This script provides an easy way to upload images, generate thumbnails and image series, AJAX based updating, user profiles, creation of online Instant Autorun Flash CD presentation from uploaded images, photo albums/galleries, image management area, image randomizer from a static URL, Flash slideshows and many other features. Fanslogon.com Case Study

Completed project for New York based company Stratagem Communications LLC. The company requirement was to develop an advance user and search engine friendly content management system for a sports portal. The main competitors of SC LLC are ESPN and SportsLine. Company requirement also included management of sports news, standings, articles, blogs, user management, groups and permissions, polls, competitions, categories, sections, custom pages, advance header optimization area, advertisement handling, fans forum, fans videos, RSS feeds with full description from Yahoo and Associated Press to set with Cron Jobs that automatically updates the site, produce RSS for onsite articles and news, comments management, newsletter subscription and sending, general site tags, automated approval of articles, news and blogs. This project was completed within 3 months.

Aiwwerx.com Tele Communication Company

Starband’s and SkyEdge’s affiliate US Ford based company AirWerx required a Flash based dynamic website to display their products and information about their company. The main requirement was to design a website with natural look and keep the taste of Montana lake and this was accomplished with full customer satisfaction. A dynamic Flash website was developed that makes it easy to update information by just updating external files (.tpl or .txt). Time calculation feature displays different taste of website on different timings.

Currently developing an API that fetches information from Yahoo Answers (xml) and adds that information to phpBB (Open Source forum software). This script automatically checks for new questions and answers. It registers users automatically while posting a new topic and utilizes existing yahoo usernames to post replies. It adds useful information to your existing forum that gives an impression of highly active community and motivates other users to join the discussions.
